I can't figure out the left hand in the third line. How am I supposed to hold that low D-sharp while playing the ascending notes? Do I use the sostenuto pedal? (The same thing occurs in the beginning of Bartok's Dances in Bulgarian Rhythm No. 1.)

The maximum stretch is a 10th, so it might be manageable. If not, sostenuto pedal if you've got it, half damper if you don't.
