BWV 1033 for piano.
on: November 25, 2013, 11:42:26 AM
Hello, Bach BWV 1033 is normally played with a flute and a harpischord. Has anyone ever heard this played solo on the piano?  Are there any reasons why it wouldnt be played?  Thankyou.

It's a Sonata for flute and basso continuo. That means the best bits are in the flute part so if you just play the basso continuo part on a piano it's going to be dry as dust.

There is a transcription of the Allegro by Maurizio Machella here.

I'm not aware of any others (which doesn't mean there isn't one somewhere). You could, of course, attempt your own.
