Tablet Question
on: November 28, 2013, 08:12:49 PM
Hi, please forgive me if I am not posting this in the right board, please also forgive any of my ignorances about music and sheet music in general as I am not a musician.

My husband plays the piano and I have been toying for some time with the idea of getting him a tablet for Christmas for his sheet music. He downloads and prints a lot of music and it just is a big mess everywhere. He also often complains about not having sheet music with him when we are away.

I just want some opinions from other musicians who have chosen to make the move to tablets.

I am considering the Google Nexus 10. Is there anyone here who uses one?

My other major question would be app compatability with an android platform. I know there are some good apps for sheet music on the ipads, but I was hoping to get him something with a larger screen then the ipad comes in.

Finally, if the Nexus 10 is in fact a poor choice, does anyone have any recommendations for a good tablet for this function. I am not considering the type of laptop with foldable or detachable keyboards, I am definitely looking for a tablet.

Thank you to anyone who can offer some advice!
