need suggestion for the piece
on: December 03, 2013, 10:02:58 AM
Hallo all pianist,

i hope i write it in the right room/topic.

I am a parent of a little pianist who just 6 years old, and she is going to join a piano competition for category children under 10 years old. My daughter is at grade IV now, and i need suggestion if you don't mind for the piece from romantic era up to now. Please tell me what piece that my daughter can play according to her grade/level which is beautiful and has a good value for the judges to give score on that piece.  Sorry for the bad english, i hope i can get help from you all guys. Thanks before

Whatever her teacher suggests as appropriate.

Um... try the Chopin Waltz. It's beautiful, but she's going to need a lot of work to get it perfect. It's easier than some of the other Chopin pieces.

Also, take a look at Kabelevsky.

Thanks for the reply all,
I talked to her teacher finally.
She'll play pieces from kabalevsky & burgmuller. Appreciate for the input.
