That was lovely, choo.  Good to see you back!  You're a welcome sight here.   I very much admire your  genuine love of music and the piano, and the humility and candor with which you approach it.
Did you make that arrangement yourself?  I used to play this a lot in church.  I wouldn't change the left hand accompaniment when gounod's melody comes in.  That is, don't play a plain broken chord with the c on each beat.  Play something like c-e-g-e-g-c(the upper one)-e-g and repeat for the third and fourth beat.  I'm sure you can work the rest out on your own.
But i like your tone and phrasing.  And the lovely winter scene through the windows!

Beautiful playing and nice arrangement ! Well done.
Depressing the pedal on an out of tune acoustic piano and playing does not result in tonal color control or add interest, it's called obnoxious.

Thoroughly entrancing sound, and what a beautiful piano and playing environment. My lounge is a rat's nest in comparison. Good to see you back, we must resurrect that dream thread sometime.

This is very pretty.  well done!!!

I would only suggest (not a criticism ) to perhaps try to vary the tone between the two parts when melody comes. Like a flatter finger the releases from the surface of the key in LH, and a fuller projecting melody with a complete follow through and release off the key in RH. This will enhance your variety of texture.  But already very good.  Like a yummy dish that only tastes a bit better with just a dash of salt and pepper :)

Birba:  So wonderful to hear from you again and thank you for the kind words and suggestions.  I will try and play the piece as it was originally written with Bach's Prelude in the bass.  This time I had played Galya's arrangement.  It looks better outside than it feels.  I wish I could trade places with you.  Italy at Christmas sounds lovely.

Ted and Hmfadopter:  Thank you so much for the kind words.  So glad you enjoyed my performance.

Ale_ius:  Thank you for the kind words and suggestions.  I enjoyed your analogy!  And I will keep working on it as you suggested.

Thanks so much, all of you.  I really appreciate it and it's great to be back and to see my friends again.

This piece is so moving and beautiful, and you play it with such tenderness and love. All the minor imperfections are just that -minor -and it adds to the humanity somehow -don't change anything about this!

hello Choo,

Even if you happen not to be Catholic or Christian I can feel
your plea in the way you play this "immortal" piece .... so touching.
GOD BLESS!
