It's nice! I enjoyed your performance!

The RH trills were a bit unconvincing.

Argerich advocates trilling whenever possible with 1-3. Give it a try, it should produce better results than 2-3, which I think is what you use.

For me, it was a bit predictable at times, musically. Things good go over the bar line better. Try to show musical deliciousness with creative textural thinking rather than by always slowing down the time!

Many people play pretty well, but the sound is too much like a painting and not enough like a sculpture! A painting is flat and hangs on a wall. A sculpture has depth, shape, and life! A sculpture has movement!

A not-so-good pianist plays a piece and... it's all there.... the notes, the rhythm, etc. But nobody cares much because it's trapped inside the piano!

A real virtuoso plays the same piece so magically that the sound jumps out of the piano and ravages the audience like a wild beast!

Thanks awesome_o for as usual being the only one to comment on my playing hahaha.

If you had some wax in your ears my trills would sound alot better!

You are speaking my language, if alregich approves of 1-3 trills whenever possible, I will jump on this opportunity.  In the B section I feel like a leprekon when doing the trills with 2-3.
In the C section I use 1-3 and alot more successful.

You have very deep insights and I can tell you listen closely. It was very predictable but maybe sometimes with a simple less complex pieces that predictability and ease of listening is good?

Usually as I get tired of the chord progressions of a piece, that's when I tend to be more unpredictable in my playing.

I'm obviously using alot of rubato in my playing because my other "Tools" are not so sharp. If had had a better arsenal, I would be able to do more.

I think it is a mind thing, not a technique thing. I have to experiment more...

I'm pretty angry with myself now for not thinking more about the piece before recording it.

It's okay... no need for anger! Just go further into the music each time you play!

Did you ever come across this recording?

It contains some spectacular rubato, extraordinarily deep, textured sound, and perfectly shimmering trills!

This was one of the pieces I also got really into as a youngster!

This isn't for everybody, but Tori Amos used this song once as a basis for one of hers. All the songs from that album use melodies from classical pieces, and the original sources are noted in the liner notes. This song introduced me to the original Mendelssohn, which I then learned!

I thought your playing Noam, was very poetic -the trills were not good from bar 32,, because they didn't connect very well with the high E -which begins that descending pattern -and then the reprise -All this needs to be organic and meaningful. Friedman does this beautifully.

I did enjoy your rendition though. It gave much tenderness and love.

When a search is in progress, something will be found.

I thoroughly enjoyed your performance of this piece, so much so that I listened to it twice.  Thank you for sharing it :)
