This is the first recital of this piece. Would appreciate any feedback before the next performance in early February! Thank you!

Umm... that doesn't appear to be Op 55 No. 6.....

The playing seems accomplished enough, especially for an eight year old, but being able to follow along with the score would allow for more fruitful feedback.

OK, found it. It's Op 55 No 1.  You probably should change that on the vid, or at least the YT page.

Generally a good performance; the boy has done well and should be proud.

Areas for improvement - the tempo in the Vivace is a little unsteady, watch the dynamic markings and  make more dynamic difference (softer pp, louder ff), and mind the rests.

Thanks for the feedback and the correction -- I got that No. from his teacher but obviously it was incorrect! Dynamics and rests/breathing -- check!

I agree with J_menz's comments but I have to add that I enjoyed this performance immensely.  As he said, this little boy can be proud of his achievement so far so it's a definite thumbs up from me! :)
