Cross post on Clementi Recommendations
on: January 23, 2014, 10:33:15 PM
I'm sorry for posting this in both the Performance and the Repertoire threads.  I believe it belongs here, however.

Essentially, I am looking for recommendations for Clementi compositions.  I am unfamiliar with his works so I need guidance.  I've seen him mentioned and recommended on these forums so would like to experience him first hand.

Thank you much,
Michael

Dover publishes a collection of some of his Sonatas that's quite cheap and a good introduction.

The whole lot of them are up on IMSLP if you get hooked.

Yes, thank you. I was perusing IMSP and that's what lead me to ask the question.  There are so many that I wanted help pointing me in the direction of a known "good one," for lack of a better qualifier.

I have ordered several of his books, and I am printing out Sonata Op. 25 #5 on Thal's advice.
