Need help with Chopin ballade OP.52 NO.4
on: January 26, 2014, 02:08:37 PM
Hello, im new to this forum and to piano.

Im learning this song now and im kinda stuck at this part :P (circled) because my fingers cant stretch that far, do people really play that? I got average hands, but that is like pretty crazy, I can barely play it with the side of my thumb and pinky, but it feels soo unnatural.

Thanks!! ;D

It even tells you to roll it...
Yeah you shouldn't be playing this piece.

What I'm saying is, if you don't know what is or how to roll then you shouldn't be playing this. I assure you, if you proceed you will know true hell.

always roll it! you don't have to do it at tempo, it can be a slow, sensuous roll.

thanks dude, I was wondering for this arpeggiated chord does that mean i play the E note together with the low C first?

yeah I know what you are saying and appreciation for classical piano music is fairly recent.

I feel that there is alot of freedom in this composition    :'(  Its such a beautiful piece.

the top note is the melody note. the bottom note, just sustain out for harmony.
