throbbing fingernails
on: January 26, 2014, 06:13:07 PM
Because of the fast and punched finger action needed in some of my pieces, my RH middle finger is throbbing. I cut my nails extremely short so there is barely any white line at the top, but my middle finger shows more of the white line (simply because the nail is coming off the finger through all the pressure)... I know the simple answer is "take a break, practice slower" but I'm performing soon and need to be practicing a lot - and at tempo for at least half the time. Has anyone dealt with "throbbing fingernails" and found some remedies that help? Thank you!
