I'm learning this piece with my teacher. As far as I understand, this piece is easy to play, but hard to play right, because of its heavy musicality. Are there any pointers that you can tell me about this work? Any parts to watch out for?

*Note, in case you can't tell, I'm looking for pointers about the piece ONLY, not 1000 reasons why I said something wrong or any other hate comments.

Thank you for your on-target responces

Such a beautiful piece! Depress the damper pedal before you start.....adds a little more color. Try using a finger pedal with the opening theme.  Keep the rhythm as he wrote it...use just a minimal rubato.....or it sounds like pop love song. Keep the hands and arms relaxed so your tone will be even and colorful. Record yourself to check your voicing of top notes. Have fun with this great Prelude.

Use you ears and constantly be attentive to the sound you are producing.  If you start producing sounds that you don't like, make an effort to have the sound you produce from the piano match the sound you envision in your mind.

Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach
