Hough's 3 Mozart Transformations (after Poulenc)
on: February 01, 2014, 08:42:56 PM
I've just been listening to these pieces and am considering buying the sheet music, and possibly including them one of them to end my diploma recital.  Does anyone know what keys they are in (I can't find any reference to keys on the internet)?

Also what level of difficulty are they?  The first and third sounded quite do-able.

I've now got the answer to the keys - by tweeting the composer himself who kindly replied!  It's G, F and F.

But any help on level of difficulty would be gratefully received.  I didn't think I could ask him that, as his standards would be way too high!

I have them, but have only read through them once (and a while ago). My recollection is that they have their challenges but are not fiendish.

Thank you j_menz.

Well they should be coming through my door tomorrow so I'll see how I get on.  Never played anything from 21st century before - most recent piece so far is Poulenc written a few months before I was born.
