Appassionata 1st move.

Taped this little over 4 yrs ago. What do you think? Be easy on me as I'm an amateur. Musically I see many places that I would have played differently.

i've never played this piece myself, but i've heard it a lot. yours sounds really good in terms of musical expression. as for feedback on what you might work on, i noted some rhythmic discrepancies in yours with the other recordings i've listened to - not the kind that indicates a mistake in reading/learning but the kind that is usually associated with technique. i wouldn't necessarily take my words to heart, though, because as i said i haven't played the piece before and I think your rendition is great already.
are you a dentist?

Thank you and yes, I've performed over 200 root canals, 400 crowns.. No I'm not a dentist. Why on earth would you think that? I will say my hair was blown way back because at the time I had a scooter and rode it to the piano hall. Didn't look at myself in the mirror. Now it is 1/8 inch short.

Some musical spots I would do over, like after the opening run down the keyboard with the right hand and finishes with an arpeggio, it should end BAM! Mine was a fizzle. ;)

Well-played, Nick. It seems like you have quite good hand position much of the time. Occasionally, the rhythm got a bit careless... particularly in places where the texture becomes thick and 'note-y'.

Very good musical sense overall. Dramatic, but never overdone. I got a very good sense of respect for the composer, which is often what is missing for me in amateur playing.

Bravo!

You could develop a bit better control of faster passages, but nothing ever stuck out too badly!

I think so if you mean at times it seems a bit of a struggle?
