Central fugato from CD96, track 1
on: February 18, 2014, 09:32:58 AM
This sort of thing is good fun. Throw all the intellectual counterpoint stuff out the window, allow aural response and phrasal development to produce its own musical DNA, and just sit back and let things happen. Feed in plenty of self-reference in multiple strands and forget about notational synchronicity of the hands. As technical practice it is a hell of a lot more enjoyable than straight scales.
