Britten - Night Piece 'Notturno'
on: February 18, 2014, 02:15:11 PM
No, I am NOT entering the leeds competition! I just really like this piece and am wondering how difficult it is? I'd quite like to learn something a bit more 'delicate' but modern and the Britten came to mind. Anyone played it before?

Thanks!

Given the works in your signature, it should be eminently doable.  You may find Britten's idiom rather strange at first, especially since you appear to lean heavily/exclusively to earlier centuries.

I's a lovely piece.  It's a shame, really, that Britten wrote so relatively few pieces for piano solo.
