Liszt Liebestraum no. 3 vs. Chopin Etude op 25. no. 2

I have seen both these pieces as well as their recordings and am wondering the similarities as well as their relation in respect to difficulty.

If you have done that and can't tell all by yourself, their greatest similarity is that they are, as yet, beyond you.

Why compare a Liszt nocturne to a Chopin Etude? These are very different types of writing. These pieces are unrelated to each other.

This is like comparing apples to oranges.
