Is it me or are you leaving out some chords in the left hand? Oh and, try not to hold down the pedal for too long, or else you'll end mixing up chords together (like the d minor chord to g) and it'll sound all weird and stuff...that's all I can say because I'm not expert :( I really love this piece and it holds a special place in my heart. Mostly because this was my first Chopin piece ever <3. Last year I struggled a lot especially in the B section with all those 16 note triplet runs. Enjoy this wonderful waltz and I hope that you will explore/study the other ones as well (go for that neglected Op. 64 No. 3!!!, it's a beauty!!!).

While you are still working at this piece, try to keep the waltz rhythm flowing.  Once you are more familiar with it the you can start to play more with rubato.

Try working at the LH alone and concentrate on that rhythm.  Those wide jumps that you need to make in the LH should not interrupt the waltz feel.  To practice those jumps: play at a slow tempo but make a very quick and decisive movement towards the chord, placing your hand and fingers in position over the keys, so that your apparatus is already in place before you need to play the chord.

For that E major arpeggio notice that there is an 8va mark, and you do indeed move up one more octave.
Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach

James,

Yes, I accidentally left out some chords. Normally I do hit these notes though. I've adjusted my pedal use and I think it sounds better now. I havn't been paying attention to it to be honest. I didn't even notice it. I think I've achieved sharpness now, thank you.

My teacher says I will be able to do the more difficult waltzes at the end of this year because of the progress I'm making. I've listened to the op 69 no 3. My priority is going to the no 1 and no 2 though.

Quantum,

I'll try your idea for the left hand exercise. I must admit it was very difficult in the beginning to adjust to the large leaps in the left hand.

As for the one octave higher, I didn't realize that. I'll see it when I practise it again, thank you.

Apart from what the other said about pedal, and the chords that aren't there, I'd like to add the really strange rhythm at 1.24. Suddenly your 8notes becomes quarter notes...

Rhythm isn't really my strong point, I'll see what the sheet says and I'll keep an eye on it.

Why not just listening to it? And it doesn't sound like a rhythmical mistake, in that sense, but just as a misreading.

I havn't tuned this piano in a while. When should I call the tuner? I think it's been more than 6 months since the last time. Can I wait out another 6 you think?

New recording.

I made some mistakes here and there note wise. I played the piece twice in this recording. I played the piece better the second time in the recording. So refer to that please.
