Marking and fingerings
on: March 05, 2014, 04:43:29 PM
Hi. I have problems with 2 thing lately.
First, what is this marking?

This is the first time I see it.
Second thing, I'd like to ask for fingering ideas for this part of Zarebski Piano Quintet:

Just a general idea how would you play it. I have some ideas on my own but I'm not sure they are good enough. BTW is there a way to hide those images?

Can't help with the fingerings, but the first thing you showed, those are twice as long as regular whole notes. They were common in Renaissance music, but you don't see them very often in later music.

Can you see youtube videos for fingering ideas ?

You should use fingering that makes sense - and is comfortable for you (well that's what I do!)
