Good piano technicians in the NY/NJ area?
on: March 09, 2014, 10:33:04 PM
Hello, everyone!

After quite a bit of searching, I think I've finally found a piano that I love. It's a C. Bechstein B from the 80s which has never been played (the previous family used it as furniture). It plays beautifully, and it has amazing sound and feel. The lacquer on the left side is somewhat scratched, though. Will this be a problem in terms of the sound/longevity?
Also, because this piano is used, I'd like to have a technician look at it. Do you know any good technicians in the NJ/NYC area?
Also, is there anything I should know about purchasing a used piano?

Thanks!
