Hello.  I just joined this forum.  I'd like to try Bach Siciliana - Kempff version.  I have sheet music  but it only has very minimal suggestions for the fingering, which looks tough.  This piece is probably beyond my level, but I'd like to give it a try.  I need help with figuring out the fingering particularly for the right hand.

Any suggestions on how I might proceed.

Thanks.

It's a beautiful piece.

As for the fingering, don't be shy about redistributing between the hands, but most of the upper stave is in the RH. Use the legato/staccato to guide you a bit. Legato will rarely re-use the same finger, whereas the staccato bits can. Bottom note in any set is thumb, topmost note almost always pinkie - just play those two like that, and the fingers nearest will be a guide. Generally it's 1-2-3 for the first three notes of the middle voice in each sextuplet set.  Just take it slow and you should be fine.

The fingering that is indicated in my edition (not much) is basically useless IMO, so don't feel in any way bound to it.

Thanks for the advice.  I've gotten hold of different sheet music that "redistributes" the 12 sixteenth notes per measure to the left hand instead of the right.  It's a good thing, because my left hand could use the work.

That is debatable, but in any case could only possibly do so if one existed. The one's there are tend to stick to more conventional repertoire.
