Piano Street Magazine:
Wagner’s Universe in a Pianist’s Hands

One of the most thrilling performances offered at Cremona Musica this year was the Wagner by Liszt recital given by Filippo Tenisci – Italian pianist, born 1998 and celebrated for his refined interpretations and expressive mastery of the Romantic repertoire. After his recital we got the chance talking to Tenici about his Wagner/Liszt project. Read more

Chopin - Da 11th etude from dat opus 25.
on: April 05, 2014, 06:39:22 PM
Well, it's my 2nd month into this piece.
I don't plan on taking stock on this forum too much.

I'll upload my progress every month... until it becomes perfect.
Feel free to leave any tips on how to be a better pianist!

I thought it sounded a bit too messy and careless.

I would recommend you practice it under tempo, without using the sustain pedal.

This should help you to make sure you are playing all of the correct notes!

Also, watch that you do not rush! You seem to rush quite a bit in this recording!

Best of luck with this very difficult study!

I look forward to hearing it again when you have it under a little better musical and technical control!

It was careless..  ;D

I'll try to practice it slowly and make sure every note is right!

I rush when I want to get a passage over with because I'm not as good at that part.

Thanks for giving me luck!

I'll post an update every month so that You and I can both see my progress.

Edit: And I chose this piece because of the first few measures in the piece. I was like 'I'm going to play this, it looks soo easy!'.. whilst all the other pieces had 100% complicated notes. This is actually my first piece I'm playing in the Chopin Etudes! When I sightread No 12 (Both Op 10 and 25), it was actually easy! (Not literally, but considerably easier than Op 25 No 11).

You should master all of the Chopin Etudes if you really want to be a better pianist.

And get rid of the habit of rushing.

Do you play any earlier music? Classical or Baroque?
