Will this be your first Piano Concerto? If so then I'd avoid the romantics for now and start with Haydn. Mozart, Bach etc

I'd second that, Mozart and Haydn are good choices, because they help you prepare for more difficult ones, i.e learning how to collaborate with the accompaniment well.

If you don't like them Beethoven's 1st and 2nd are quite good, and relatively virtuosic.
Beethoven - Piano Concerto No.2, Piano Sonata Op 57
Chopin - Ballade Op 23
Liszt- Hungarian Rhapsody No.14
Ravel - Pavane Pour une Infante Défunte
Cramer/Bulow,Chopin Etudes
Chamber music
