To get a piano teacher's permission to audition for a spot in a showcase of musical performances from my highschool?  Every soloist has to get a teacher's permission to audition. I'm not asking if this is good enough to get past the audition, or even if it's good enough to perform, but just if it's good enough that a piano teacher from my school (who I don't know) would let me audition, and more importantly, that I will not embarrass myself in front of him because I'll probably have him as a teacher next year.

I did this in one take (because I will only get one chance, obviously), with no warming up. If my use of pedal seems bad, it's because my electric piano sounds really different to me while playing and than it does when you record it with a midi cable. I will definitely be better at it when playing on a real piano, and it gets much better when I reach the faster section.

It might be better if you uploaded it onto YT or similar.  People can be wary of downloading stuff on the internet.

Well... to be honest - I downloaded it. If you're safe and smart, you can sense the difference between bogus uploads and proper uploads, but this one is legitimately just a wma file.

Too much pedal unfortunately - there is a LOT of harmonies not being cleared and there's a lot of overlap. It's actually quite bizarre and and intro sounds like you didn't even bother to lift it once...

There's no finesse either in your playing. This piece has to be delicate at times and graceful, and unfortunately it's too technically played. The softer dynamics need to be played MUCH softer...

The runs (arpeggiations) weren't limber enough - aim for the top note. Unfortunately the rest of the piece leaves A LOT to be desired in terms of your voicing as generally your Left hand and accompanimental figures (especially the semiquavers in the middle section) were quite loud.

The pedalling towards the ending was also quite horrid in some places - you DESPERATELY need to fix it.

Wma files can contain malware just as any other type of file that's being used by a program. But for me that wasnt the main reason, its just alot easier for people to listen to it (and less risky) if they dont have to download it, and that way the OP will get more feedback.

Thanks a ton for the feedback.

And to the other posters: sorry, I tried to upload it to YT but for some reason a four minute audio track with a black screen throughout the whole time was going to take about 22 hours to upload. I completely understand your wariness.
