Chopin - Funeral March ( Interlude)
on: May 27, 2014, 09:06:27 AM
Greetings !
Here's my run-of-the-mill interpretation of this beautiful interlude in D flat maj.
I understand that this is far from being 'perfect' , yet I thought i should share as this piece holds much significance to me.
Comments/Thoughts are welcome
Thanks!

The LH is very mechanical: each note is the same even dynamics. It should be shaped musically: louder on the downbeat, descrescendo as it ascends.
The RH melody is also very mechanical: each note is the same even dynamics. The crescendo-decrescendo,( p < mp > p ) is a useful expressive tool in this melody.
Tempo is a little bit too fast so it doesn't express the inhalation-exhalation of the moment very well. Play it slightly slower.
