A short modern piece from Hamelin.

Yamaha C2X piano. Recorded with Zoom H2n in X/Y mode, placed on top of tuning pins behind the music rest. Added some reverb in Audacity for good measure  :P

There are a few small glitches and some page turning noise :-)

Enjoy,

The performance was rather dynamically flat.  For example, the <> should be applied to the re-do-re-do-re---do motive so that it's more musically expressive and provide forward momentum.  It would provide greater unity to the piece if it were expressed this way as well as the rest of the piece.  I anticipate that if you applied the <>, the tempo would naturally increase to better state the ideas.

Do this remind me of the Bortkiewicz thread  :P ?

Hamelin suggested playing it in 3:45, so I am playing it a tad too slow.

It reminds me of every single post he has ever posted.

I've run your recording through Audacity at a 7% increase and yeah, it's much more musical the closer to the 3:45" that Hamelin suggests.  At 10%, the character changes from being mysterious to angry and agitated so that's too fast.
