Variation on a theme of Furiouzpianist
on: June 11, 2014, 04:27:58 AM
Pianostreet member "Furiouzpianist" wrote a neat miniature that's supposed to be played with the left hand only in this thread https://www.pianostreet.com/smf/index.php?topic=53454.0

I wanted to have some fun and show my appreciation for the piece with a series of variations on his theme.

Aww that's awesome how you wrote that the literal day after Furiouzpianist wrote his. That's so cool!

Well, six months, actually.

@PG711 - Excellent job.  Are you going to grace us with the score as FP did? (hint hint   ;) )

And as much as I liked the work, I must say the spirit shown in doing this gladdens me greatly.

I think that was the reason for the hint/hint/smiley. Without intending to take away from the validity of what you have done here, the fact that this was an improvisation and not a written-out set of variations (as the title of the thread seemed to suggest) was somewhat obvious.

The fact it was an improvisation makes it even more awesome. Hmm, I might start transcribing a variation or two, just to see how it goes  8)
