The Prodigy Who Saw Into the Future – Lili Boulanger’s Piano Music

A teenage girl with forward-looking ideas, Lili Boulanger had enough determination to successfully navigate the competitive, patriarchal, and conservative music scene of Paris. 1. Theres a resolution in the LH that is accented, m.7, beat 4.  This occurs elsewhere.  It should resolve softly.  Tension>resolution.  This issue of accented resolutions occur elsewhere, m.10 beat 3, and other places.

2. Tempo was unsteady.

3. Downbeats must receive the accent.  Since it's in cut time, there are two beats to the bar; strong on 1, less strongly on 3.
