Rep for small technique
on: June 22, 2014, 03:12:57 AM
This summer I need to fix the lacking areas of my technique. Primarily, the biggest problem is in small technique (fast runs, repeated notes etc.). I auditioned with this repertoire Bach Busoni Chaconne, Prokofiev Sonata 8, and Scriabin opus 8 no 12 (d-sharp minor).

Suggestions for largely small-technique-based pieces?

I recommend a thorough study of the Baroque and Classical styles!

Start with Rameau!

Why not give Mr Briskin a call and ask for his advice? He's going to have to deal with the results.
