small water bottle for running/jogging/walking?
on: June 29, 2014, 05:30:14 PM
Does anyone use anything that's small, doesn't get in the way, hands-free, for a water bottle?

I want something that attaches to a belt and stays out of the way, won't flop around while running.

It wouldn't have to hold that much.  Less than 12 oz I would think, less than a can of soda for volume.

I was looking at clip on water bottles, pouches, boda bags, etc....

There are some nifty little rucksacks on the market that also have a bladder in them.

Good for carrying beer.

That's another idea (not the beer part).  Here, they call them fanny packs.  A fanny water pack...  It would have to be small enough to not have the uber-dork factor.  That could free pocket space though too.  Easy to prepare... Hm.

Fanny in other countries doesn't mean butt... I remember I wore a fanny pack on a school hike in the forest when I lived in Singapore and someone asked what it was I said a fanny pack and the busy out laughing. I was confused until
They explained!

We think a strap-on-arm water can would solve your problems.

Google that, it should be an adequate solution.

Make sure you google the whole phrase. Just a heads up.

Here, they call them fanny packs.

They make ones for your back. We have a few and use them all the time for hiking and running. This one is 1.5L, but you don't have to fill it up all the way if you want it to stay light. Comes with extra pockets for other things like keys.

Keeping it mind I'm looking at volumes of water around 4-10 oz, along with carrying as little as possible, hands-free.
