Yamaha P155
on: July 15, 2014, 10:50:53 AM
I had already ordered the P105, but have my doubts about the action - I have read, and my teacher commented it is on the light side.

So I have seen the Yamaha P155 seems like the right way to go instead.

Am I missing anything, or should I pursue the P155?

My classes are being taught on an upright acoustic piano.

I went to a music store, for my first visit they said they didn't have a P155, but saw one on my second one later that afternoon!

The P105 was dissapointing, I ended up going for the Roland FP-55 which feels great (to me)

Not that it matters now but to me a couple years back when the P105 first came out I actually liked the keys on it better than the P155. That little inexpensive P105 has a lot going for it at entry level, it changed my sugested first keyboard ( for those who ask) from the Korg SP170-180 series to that ( more polyphony, better shound engine, better external porting and not too bad feeling keys)..

Congrats on your new keyboard, glad you like it !! I love my Kawai MP6.
Depressing the pedal on an out of tune acoustic piano and playing does not result in tonal color control or add interest, it's called obnoxious.
