The Quiet Revolutionary of the Piano – Fauré’s Complete Piano Works Now on Piano Street

In the pantheon of French music, Gabriel Fauré (1845–1924) often seems a paradox—an innovator cloaked in restraint, a Romantic by birth who shaped the contours of modern French music with quiet insistence. Vicent d'Indy - Sarabande and minuet (chamber)
on: August 07, 2014, 02:59:25 AM
Hi guys! After a hard year of piano study (and much to my regret, of a little presence on YouTube and the forums) I come back after my exams for the High School of Music in Catalonia (i passed  ;D )

So, I have quite a few material that I learnt last year and it's time to upload it!

For today, I post a video of the piece "Sarabande and menuet" by the French composer Vicent d'Indy. This piece was composed for a sextet chamber group (five winds + piano). The Sarabande shows a more solemn character and it has the accent in the second beat of every measure (a basic characteristic of the sarabande forme) and the Minuet is the contrast to the sarabande and it represents the fun.

I hope you enjoy it and here you have the scores in case you want to have a look on them  :D :D
