Quickie recital programme, suggestions?
on: August 17, 2014, 05:30:37 AM
So...these are pieces mostly learnt this summer and last semester and I am wondering what I should add. A prelude and fugue in major? I also learnt the Liszt Rigoletto but I am scared I wont be able to handle la leggeriezza and Rigoletto one after the other. It wouldn't leave me much energy for Rach and Berg. Also, I am thinking of doing this during winter break. Not that soon. And, this is all rep I already know.
So far,
Programme
Bach
P&F Book II 8, 18 ( I know other ones, but would have to basically relearn them! -_-) this is about 10-15 mins
Liszt
la leggeriezza 5 mins
(Rigoletto?) 7 mins 20 seconds, but the hardest 7 minutes of anyone's life, honestly
Berg
Sonata 15 mins
Rach
I don't know the times
op 39 no 1
(should I just squeeze 39 no 2 in here?)
op 39 no 3
Roughly an hour +
This is for fun, not for school.
I used to play a ton of Chopin. I could divide the program into 2 parts? with a long intermission, or just split the recital with someone. Do my hour and have someone do another hour. I actually have a vocalist friend, perhaps I will get her into the program!!!
