Bruch Max
on: November 30, 2004, 07:24:58 AM
Hello!
Looking for score (Swedish dances, op.63, piano solo)  from this composer.
Great pieces overwhelmed with melancholy and joy at the same time...
Does anybody have it or is there some internet page with mentioned composition?
Then, please reply on me....
Simply intresting music made from this not so very known German romantic composer...
Anyway, how many of you have heard for him or his compositions (world known are his 1. violin concerto and Kol Nidrei for violoncelo and orchestra)?

thanks...

Did you know that Op. 63 was originally written for violin and piano, and Bruch made versions for both piano four-hands and piano solo?

Unfortunately I do not know of any site that has the sheet music for free (although it is available to buy)

If you like his music, you may also try his “Six piano pieces”. Op. 12, which are wonderful (they are published by Breitkopf). Unfortunately he wrote very little for piano.

Best wishes,
Bernhard.

Yes, indeed...and afterall this opus was also written for military band and finally for orchestra...kinda long way to get the conclusion...there must be a huge interest...
Only I am not so sure if all this was transcribed from composer?!

Thanks for advice Bernhard (with opus 12) perhaps I gonna try with that one...

Still searching for opus 63.....

Unfortunaly for us that there wasn`t written more piano pieces in first concept, not transcriptions...
