Introducing/spreading Bach to the general public
on: September 21, 2014, 07:40:35 PM
Well today I went to a gathering of people who love the piano. Most of them are interested the "popular" kind of piano music (Yiruma, Yanni, etc...), I doubt few of them actually listen to classical seriously. So I went on and performed Bach P&F in C WTC 1. There reaction was really hard to tell, they paid good attention to my playing, I'm not sure it's because of the music or because my posture at the keyboard is like Glenn Gould (I really absolutely love his finger tapping technique BTW, don't rant on me for copying his style pls
). So I have very little idea on what they actually think about Bach since they just gave general compliments. What are your suggestions ?
I feel like it's my job to share music to the world, I think that people need to have more contact with Bach to appreciate him.
Cheers
