Greek classical piano music (?)
on: September 26, 2014, 03:59:54 AM
'Bach' on the forum already ;) Is there any Greek classical music written for the piano? If so, does anyone have some recommendations? All I've got so far is an ancient Greek piece that was transcribed for piano but that's it  :( .

Also, a friend recently lent me a CD with some Greek pieces in it, both vocal and instrumental, which I think might not fit into what's often called 'classical music', but there was some pretty good stuff there and here are the names of those I liked the best and which I'd love to find in piano (preferably, solo) arrangements:

-'Aponi zoi'.

-'Song to Santorin'.

-'Ah koritsi mou'.

-'Oniro demeno'.

-'Aftokolitaki mou'.

Does anyone know if such arrangements may be found somewhere?

As always, huge cheers!
M.W.

Can your piano handle the 15 pitch classes of the systema teleion?

You might also like to check out the site/publishing house run by PS's sometime member Nik Sideris. Previews, quite a few Greeks (including Nik himself) and they're all (or at least most) alive.
