Hi Does anyone have the analysis of Bach's sinfonias? I'm starting with the C Major. Thanks

I am not sure about an “analysis” but I have been getting to grips with this piece after a lot of work. It is deceptive, much more difficult (for me anyway) than it looks.
It’s in three voices with one of the voices always running in 16ths which gives it its motion. I have found that it takes time to make sure that the voices are balanced because it’s easy for the 16th motif to dominate and if it does then the piece becomes flat and boring.

You can easily write out the harmony and the modulations, or look at the 3-part counterpoint in terms of the "rules" of counterpoint or study the specific patterns and motifs in the piece. It is certainly worth doing but why do you want someone to provide you with a ready made analysis - what do you want it for?

I think Walter Gieseking wrote a fantastic book about this analysing to memorize music quickly. Take a look:

https://waltercosand.com/CosandScores/Composers%20E-K/Gieseking,%20Walter/Gieseking%20&%20Leimer%20-%20Piano%20Technique.pdf

On page 35 he starts to analyze the Sinfonia. Let me know if it helped.

Thank you. It was helpful, although I probably asked the wrong question. I was looking to find musical hints, I think. The analysis seems more on the technical side than obviously on the musical side.

But I guess the music will come after many times of practice.  :)
