I guess I see a few things....
Deer in headlights.
A basic response added in with the rest, leading the video viewer possibly to think that person is agreeing since the other responses are in line with agreement. Ex. "I'm the Prime Minister of Australia." "Oh, are you?"
CNNN logo in the corner. I googled it but didn't find anything right away. Or CNNY? I can't tell. I'm not finding anything though. Is this from an Australian comedy show like the Daily Show or a late night show? Or is it legit news?
Another kind of video I've seen is where people are commenting on things they know nothing about. After seeing enough of them, I'm thinking some people just want to seem to have an opinion on something. Socially, that could make sense -- They look informed. If it was me, I'd be saying I didn't know, hadn't heard, had no clue what they were talking about, etc. Honest, but it would make me look a bit out of touch compared to someone who just BS'd comments as their opinion.
Ex....
Yep, (for as true as this story is too...)
https://junkee.com/kimmels-lie-witness-news-is-fake-everything-on-the-internet-is-a-lie/31190There are plenty of people who don't know basic geography though. Never learned it in school or for something like math, they're brain just doesn't work that way.
I wonder how long these 'news stories' have been around. The key part is probably -- You watched it, right? That's their goal. I suppose I'd be more concerned about it being presented as fake if it's a legit news source vs. an entertainment show.
