Nominate seven obscure pieces that need to be performed
on: October 11, 2014, 06:37:39 PM
This thread is for advocacy for three pieces you feel should no longer be neglected. The rule for obscurity is that the piece can't have had more than one performance that is available on CD.
two concertos
two sonatas
two other pieces in any form
encore piece
My picks:
Alexander Tcherepin 5th concerto, Sergei Rachmaninov 4th concerto (original or first revision)
Nikolai Roslavets 5th sonata, Allen Sapp 3rd sonata
Nikolai Roslavets three etudes, Geirr Tveitt 1st concerto
Einojuhani Rautavaara etude "thirds"
