I think you should aim for the Padarewski interpretation of this piece. It is very close to your interpretation.



I honestly think that even though Martha Argerich has the best speed on this composition, this is the most beautiful sound.

Besides this being an easy Liszt etude, it is a very difficult piece. The technique required for this piece, just think of all the chromaticism and runs written in small notes like Chopin and Liszt and Rachmaninoff write, they are not ordinary notes.

Hi can,

Let me add my congratulations on your wonderful playing of "La Leggierezza"! It's one of my favorites, although I don't play it--too daunting!  You bring out the lyrical theme throughout, perform all the chromatic scales including the one in thirds ever so evenly and beautifully, and you give much attention to the dynamics, nuances, and the playing the long line.  It's an important piece, and I really enjoyed hearing your rendition.  Your live audience was very moved and impressed by it too.
