Chopin's Grande valse brillante in E-flat major
on: October 24, 2014, 03:12:06 PM
Hello,
I am learning this lovely waltz since June and until now I have 4 pages from the 10 ones.
I would like to know more about the piece. I know Chopin composed it in 1833 and it was published one year later, but I would like to know more history, what was happening in the world and in Chopin's life in those years (also in 1832).
And maybe it is subjective, but I am also wondering what Chopin's motivations, reasons, inspirations might have been while he was composing it.

Some description on the Chopin Institute:

I like reading Wiki about composers:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fr%C3%A9d%C3%A9ric_Chopin
By 1833, he already debut at Salle Pleyel, became a friend with Liszt, but hasn't med George Sand yet. You kind hear the excitement of young Chopin getting established in a circle in Paris?
