Piano restorer in UK
on: October 25, 2014, 06:45:30 PM
Just wondering if anyone has any experience of Barry Caradine Pianos, a specialist restorer in East Anglia UK. I've no reason whatsoever so question anything about him but I'd never come across his name before an acquaintance suggested using him for a job, so I thought I'd ask...

Thanks!

The Caradines have a very well equipped workshop in Acton just outside our village. I had a more than favourable impression on the occasion I visited and I'd say everything on their website is "kosher". If it's a big job come and have a look for yourself.

I have it on good authority that Barry is a top notch tuner which tells me his work must be top notch too. When we bought an Ibach piano from Edinburgh (sight unseen on ebay, I am sorry to say) the movers said they went all over the country for the Caradines.

That piano had one or two problems and our tuner said Barry was the best man to call in. Fortunately those problems, once I'd identified them, were quite easily fixed but that's another story.
