Beethoven's Sonata no 5 op 10 no 1 VIDEO
on: November 07, 2014, 01:21:30 PM
Hi!
Let me know what you think! I probably should not have recorded this after spending the most of the day working on this sonata - my Alberti Bass is much better normally! Fingers were just a little too tired.  I also smudged pretty much every turn, for some reason, I don't normally! :)
P.s. I had to cut out pauses with page turns because the camera picks up that sound too much and it really hurts your ears??

I will be playing this Sonata (full) for my diploma next year.

I like it. A couple of thoughts. In the exposition I think you handled the second theme the best. The opening, I think, should be less careful, more reckless and aggressive. And then in the coda to the exposition I don't think you need to slow down quite as much; the music itself creates that feeling of reduced tension with still something brooding in the background. I hope you'll post a recording you are more happy with yourself. I expect it will be very good.

thank you, I think i heard this slowing down somewhere on YouTube... and decided to adopt it since I dont really know those chords that well :) yet.
I am hoping to memorise it all and will record after X mas at the latest. Would be much easier to play from memory. Thanks a lot for your comment .T
