Beginners question...about Bach menuet
on: November 07, 2014, 10:04:42 PM
I played piano when I was very young, stopped for years, and am just taking it up again. So really a beginner, with some retained technique, and can read music as have played other instruments.
I'm teaching myself Bach, menuet g major 114 (A. mag notebook). Having recapped the Suziki book 1 (which is what I completed in the past). Think this is a good level for me.
Please could someone tell me what grade this would be? Is it 1?
And do you have some recommendations of other pieces of this sort of level please?
Best wishes and thank you.

i have no idea what grade that piece is but if i had to guess i'd say 1...maybe 2? the only piece that comes to mind right now that is similar is bach: Musette in D major, BWV Anh. 126. i think it's a little easier than minuet in g maj.
