Fingering Liebesleid Kreisler/Rachmaninov
on: November 22, 2014, 03:39:08 PM
Hi,

Yes, I know... "If you gotta ask, it's no use even trying". Yet, I present my question (there are more of them) regarding fingering in Liebesleid. Please, see sample embedded:

As far as I can imagine, it's more or less unavoidable to end up with 1-5 spanning the octaves av A1 and A2. How do I reach that position and how do I move on?

Is it too amateurish trying to avoid a "double thumb" when no sliding is possible (g to f resp f to e)? I want to let the middle voice sing legato and not pollute it with a spontaneous "double thumb accent". Ideas?

I gather this is a no-no:
