Yamaha N1 110 / 240 V convert
on: November 23, 2014, 11:08:06 PM
From the manuals, Yamaha N1 are shipped in 240 V, but are sold only in 110 V in the US. Has anyone any experience in converting 110 V to 240V when they move overseas? How difficult is it? The only thing that is delaying my purchase of the N1 piano is that I might need to move overseas from the US in the next few years, I would like to be able to bring the piano along and be able to convert the voltage to 240V.
Thanks!

If you can see the instrument in a showroom, check if there is a voltage selector next to the power connector (should be a small dial that you can turn with a screwdriver). Otherwise, ask Yamaha USA.
Finally, even if you can only buy a 110v version in the USA, you can still use it with a simple 240v/110v transformer when in a country with 240v ac.
