Competition pieces
on: December 13, 2014, 07:20:11 PM
Hi! Does anyone have an idea for a program that has the following (1 of each):
1. A J S Bach piece
2.A full sonata by Mozart, Haydn or Beethoven
3.A  piece by Chopin, Brahms, or Liszt.
4. 20th or 21st-century composer piece

Can piece no.1 be under 5 1/2 minutes w\out repeat, please?
Can piece no.2, if it be a Beethoven sonata, be under Op. 50, please?
Can piece no.3 be under 14 minutes, please?
Can piece no.4 have limited dissonance and not be atonal, please? (Carl Vine Sonata no.1, I is maximum dissonance please ;D)

Thanks for any suggestions/warnings/advice!

How about Rosenblatt?  Score is by Schott.  Shop around for prices.  No idea what it will run you but I recall it not being too bad on my end  8)
