Is Grieg Concerto suitable for me?
on: December 16, 2014, 03:14:51 AM
Hi guys, just wanted to take your opinion on this,
I've played the piano for a few years now, and I want to tackle my first concerto! From what I hear, Grieg is relatively easier (though by no means easy!). I've played:
Beethoven Les Adieux
Debussy Reflets Dans L'eau
Chopin Scherzo 2
Just a general idea of the stuff I've played. I recently started the Waldstein, I'm finding most of it manageable except the ending of the 3rd mvmt. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

You know yourself the best! Try it out yourself, don't be scared of the repertoire and see if you can manage it. Have fun!

Yeah, you should just try it. We don't know how you played the repertoire you mentioned, so it's rather useless. If you played it "ok" then Grieg concerto should be in your possibilities.
