How to Pose for Photographs (Pianist)
on: January 07, 2015, 04:00:46 PM
Hi!

I have a graduation recital coming up at the end of the year and would like my poster and photographs to be as professional as possible (professional in the sense of having it look like those produced by DG, EMI etc.).

So I would like some ideas on how to 'pose' for photographs. I'm open to any ideas but would especially appreciate those having a grand piano in the photo (whether it be in the foreground, background, etc.)

I have tried looking at a number of DG, EMI, Verbier Festival etc. posters but would like your input as well! Feel free to post links to images.

NOTE: No indecent photographs please!

Thanks in advance! Really appreciate it!

Hiring a photographer to take your portrait would most likely give the best results.  Search for portfolios that are close to what you are looking for.  Give some examples of album are and posters that you like to the photographer.  The photographer will generally give you direction with regards to posing.

Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach
