How to determine age of my Heintzman Piano
on: December 07, 2004, 02:49:24 AM
We just bought a Heintzman piano.  How can we find any history on it, the age or approximate value?  When you open the lid, the lid shows a patent date of 1896.  The serial number is 15181.  If anyone can offer any further insight, it would be appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

If you like it and are pleased with it, it is priceless.

The reason I am asking is that it has been refurbished and I believe the wrong legs have been put on it.  Might you have a picture of the piano in its original form?

Looks like the OP only posted once in here, and that was 7 years ago.

rhofri, why don't you post a picture of the legs here.  Perhaps someone else familiar with these pianos can answer your question.
Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach

How about an Heintzman with serial: 86040?
Could you please tell if it was manufactured in Canada or China?
And any cost estimation would be much appreciated?

Thank You,
Ziko
