What's this piano piece?
on: January 18, 2015, 08:33:48 AM
Hey guys,

Hope someone can help me out. I was watching a trailer for an upcoming documentary, A Year in Champagne, and heard this piano piece at the beginning. Can someone identify it? I've never heard it before, and would like to learn more about it. I'm guessing it's maybe French, and modern.

Thanks,
curtis

Hi Curtis,

It's the Toccata, 6th and final mouvement from the suite "Tombeau de Couperin" by Maurice Ravel.
Here's a recording by the one and only Samson François :

Best, Ane
